Things have been crazy here getting the holiday season kicked off in addition to the Dark Days Challenge over at Not Dabbling in Normal. I've been creating and cooking quite a bit (and video gaming, and pinning, and Christmas listing, and spending time with friends and family, and enjoying my homebrewed hard cider in my downtime) so I have lots to share ... all in due time.
First off, I've been put in charge of coordinating a lovely group of bloggers for the Dark Days of winter eat local Challenge - also known as DDC. Today marks one full week of the challenge and we Dabblers are posting some of our own photos at NDIN today to share our experience thus far. Some of the participants I'm heading up have posted the yumminess they've been cooking up over at their blogs.
Generally speaking, my group is the "Midwest" which includes some Michiganders and Hoosiers. My stomping grounds!!! I'll be posting our groups' progress with the "West" group simply because there are so many people on the eastern half of the states. We want to keep posts on Not Dabbling balanced so that everyone gets the same amount of face-time. And these are the lovelies that I'll be highlighting:
Small Wonder Farm
20 Something Allergies
Happy Home
The Local Cook
Detroit Cooks
Dog Hill Kitchen
The Frugal Homestead
Mother’s Kitchen
And Dee Dee who will be updating via email and comments
Over the coming weeks I'll be posting some of their progress here as well as at NDIN. Please go visit them! As for me, I'll be back over the coming days to share some of my other progress.

How did your hard cider turn out?
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious! I have three wine bottles-worth left, plus another half gallon in the works. I will definitely be getting more cider next time around!
